iRacing 2027 Predictions Delta Driven Title/Hero Image

The current iRacing season is barely underway, but attention is already turning towards the December build and the start of 2027 Season 1.

Recent comments from iRacing President Tony Gardner have given us our clearest indication yet of what the build will contain, including new circuits and another GT3 car. Beyond those additions, bigger questions remain around Career Mode, iRacing’s developing graphics technology and what other surprises may be waiting.

With that in mind, here’s what we expect from the 2027 Season 1 build, what appears to be confirmed, and where we think iRacing could go next.

Circuit Paul Ricard Looks Like A Safe Bet

Paul Ricard circuit has been a long time coming but could finally make an appearance for 2027 Season 1

If there's one track that feels almost inevitable for December, it's Circuit Paul Ricard.

The French venue has been mentioned in development updates for some time and appears to be well advanced in production. It's a circuit that many GT3 drivers have been requesting for years, and it would immediately strengthen iRacing's European endurance racing lineup.

For those who primarily race IMSA, GT Sprint and special events, Paul Ricard brings a very different challenge compared to tracks like Spa or Monza.

The enormous Mistral Straight rewards straight-line speed and efficient aerodynamics, while the technical final sector places a premium on consistency and tyre management.

Why We're Excited

For league racing and hosted endurance events, Paul Ricard has the potential to become one of the most-used circuits on the service.

It's a major real-world venue that currently feels like a missing piece of the GT3 puzzle.

What’s more, its range of configurations could make it useful across several different road racing categories, rather than limiting it to GT and endurance competition.

Circuit Bugatti Is Another Major Addition

Circuit Bugatti is another great addition to iRacings road racing calendar

Paul Ricard may attract most of the early attention, but Circuit Bugatti could be just as useful for iRacing’s road racing calendar.

Located at Le Mans and incorporating part of the famous venue, the permanent Bugatti Circuit offers a very different experience from the full Circuit de la Sarthe. Rather than being defined by long straights and endurance racing, it is a more compact circuit that should suit a broad range of sports cars, junior categories and single-seaters.

Why We’re Excited

Circuit Bugatti may not carry the same prestige as the full Le Mans layout, but its versatility could make it a regular fixture across several official series. It also adds another major European circuit without simply giving us another variation of a familiar Grand Prix venue.

Winchester Speedway Could Be A Hidden Gem

Winchester Speedway would be a welcome addition for oval racing fans

Road racers may be focused on Paul Ricard and Circuit Bugatti, but oval fans have every reason to be excited about Winchester Speedway.

Often referred to as the "World's Fastest Half Mile", Winchester's extreme banking creates a unique style of racing unlike almost anything else currently available on iRacing.

On paper it might sound like just another short oval.

In practice, it could end up being one of the most entertaining additions of the year.

Why We're Excited

One of iRacing's strengths is recreating iconic venues that many members would never otherwise experience.

Winchester falls squarely into that category.

Even drivers who don't normally race short-track content may find themselves giving it a try simply because of how distinctive it is.

Lamborghini Temerario GT3 May Finally Arrive

A new GT3 car could really shake up the series and provide an exciting new option for drivers

GT3 remains iRacing's most popular category, so the arrival of a new GT3 car would probably generate more excitement than any track announcement.

A Lamborghini GT3 has now been named for December, with reports identifying it as the new Temerario GT3.

This would effectively represent the next chapter of Lamborghini's GT racing program and eventually supersede the aging Huracán.

Beyond simply adding another GT3 option to the already extensive list of iRacing GT3 cars, a new Lamborghini could have a meaningful impact on the competitive landscape.

iRacing's recent GT3 additions have generally arrived with unique strengths, weaknesses and driving characteristics.

The question isn't whether the Temerario would be competitive.

The question is whether it would become the next Ferrari, attracting half the field on launch week.

Why We're Excited

Everyone loves new GT3 content.

Even if you don't intend to drive it regularly, new cars always shake up participation, setups and multi-class racing.

Could Career Mode Make An Appearance?

We recently wrote about iRacing's upcoming Career Mode, and this is probably the most interesting item on this list.

Unlike a new track or car, Career Mode has the potential to fundamentally change how newer drivers experience iRacing.

Many new members currently join the service, complete a handful of races and then find themselves wondering:

"What do I do now?"

A structured progression system could help answer that question.

Why We're Excited

If done properly, Career Mode could become one of the most important features iRacing has released in years.

The challenge won't be the technology.

It will be creating a progression path that feels meaningful without taking away the sandbox freedom that existing members love.

For that reason, we wouldn’t be surprised if December brought further details, a preview or some early groundwork rather than a complete public release.

Don't Expect A Full Graphics Engine Overhaul Yet

Whenever a major build approaches, graphics engine rumours inevitably start circulating.

Many community members are keeping a close eye on Spark, the codename often associated with iRacing's next-generation graphics technology.

While improvements are certainly possible, we'd be surprised if December delivered a complete visual transformation.

Large rendering projects tend to arrive gradually rather than all at once.

Instead, we expect continued incremental improvements to lighting, performance, visual effects and future engine groundwork.

That may not sound exciting, but laying the foundations properly is usually more important than chasing flashy screenshots.

Why We're Excited

Everyone wants iRacing to look better, but most of us would rather see stable performance and smoother racing than a dramatic visual overhaul that arrives half-finished.

Our Prediction

If we had to place bets today, our most likely December additions would be:

  • Circuit Paul Ricard
  • Circuit Bugatti
  • Winchester Speedway
  • Lamborghini Temerario GT3
  • Additional Career Mode details
  • Smaller graphics and engine improvements

None of these would be revolutionary on their own.

Combined, however, they could make the December build one of the strongest updates iRacing has released in recent years.

What are you hoping to see in 2027 Season 1?
